Editor review
Stack Scope layers a deflect mechanic over a wave shooter. Timed deflects send projectiles back at the source for double damage; the deflect window is tight and the punishment for a missed deflect is full damage on contact. The risk-reward shapes the higher tiers; deflect-first runs score higher than dodge-first runs.
The wave pacing fits the deflect format. Waves one to ten teach the deflect; waves eleven to twenty force the deflect on projectiles that the dodge-first style cannot avoid. The forced-deflect waves are the design choice that earns the mechanic its place in the loop.
Played on a Galway Galway bus commute and a Saturday evening session. The deflect input feels responsive on keyboard and inconsistent on touch.
The flaw is the touch input. The deflect tap requires sub-frame precision and the touch layer adds a few frames of latency. Touch players will struggle to land deflects in the late waves. Two-and-a-half stars; the mechanic is strong on keyboard and the touch port is the weak spot.
