Editor review

Stack Ruins pairs gentle exploration with a small inventory of six items. No timed sequences appear in the main path; optional side rooms add light timing challenges. The no-timer choice is the design that defines the experience; the title is built for relaxed pacing and the design supports the framing.

The exploration model rewards thorough searching. Hidden rooms hold journal entries and optional items; missing them does not block the main path but adds context the careful player picks up. The exploration loop has a long-tail that completionists will appreciate.

Played across two weekends and a few Galway Galway bus rides. The format suits both single-sitting and split-session play.

The weak spot is the map fast-travel. Fast travel unlocks at chapter three and is not available for the first two chapters. A small unlock earlier would help. Four stars overall.
